The game is played in alternating turns. Each turn follows a strict sequence of phases.
Phase 2.1: Draw Phase
- Action: The Active Player draws 1 card from their deck.
Phase 2.2: Deployment Phase (Main Phase)
During this phase, you may perform the following actions in any order:
- Deploy Units: Place Units from your hand onto the Bottom Row of your battlefield.
- Constraint: You may control a maximum of 5 Units on the field at any time.
- Attach Energy: You may attach 1 Energy Card to a Unit you control. (Limit: 1 per turn).
- Execute Tactics: You may play any number of Tactics Cards.
- Issue Orders: You may play a maximum of 1 Order Card per turn.
Phase 2.3: Attack Phase
Once you initiate the Attack Phase, the Deployment Phase ends. You cannot return to deploying units.
Step A: Maneuver
- You may move one Unit one space.
Step B: Combat
- You may declare an attack with one Unit.
- Resolve damage and effects immediately.
- End of Turn: Declaring an attack immediately ends your turn after the attack resolves.
CRITICAL PROTOCOL: THE FIRST TURN RULE
On the very first turn of the game (Player 1’s first turn):
- No Attacks: You cannot declare an attack.
- No Orders: You cannot play Order cards.
